How we handle your data

About MyPropertyScan

MyPropertyScan is a property information service that generates summaries of publicly available UK property datasets for a given address. It is operated by BiteRight Ltd. We aim to handle your data responsibly and only collect what is necessary to provide the service.

What data we collect

When you use MyPropertyScan, we collect:

• •The address you enter. We use this to query third-party public datasets and generate your report. We retain the report data so you can return to it later via the same link.
• •Technical logs. Basic server and application logs may be retained for reliability monitoring and to diagnose errors.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal account information unless you contact us directly.

Payment data

If you purchase the full report, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your card details. Stripe operates under its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive confirmation from Stripe that a payment has been completed, which is used to unlock your report.

How we use your data

The address you provide is used solely to query the public UK datasets listed below and to generate your property report. We do not use your address for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with any third party for commercial purposes.

Technical analytics data may be used to monitor service reliability and improve performance.

Third-party services we use

To generate your report, we query a number of publicly available UK datasets, which may include data from: the Environment Agency, the British Geological Survey (BGS), HM Land Registry, UK Police, the Government EPC Register, Ofsted, the Department for Transport, and Ofcom. Availability of data from these sources may vary by property and location, not all checks will return results for every address.

We also use: Stripe for payment processing; Vercel for hosting; and Vercel Analytics for service monitoring.

Data retention

Your report is retained so you can access it again using the same link. We do not have a fixed retention period at this time, but we aim to keep data only for as long as it is reasonably useful for the service.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

Your rights

If you have questions about the data we hold relating to you, or if you would like to request deletion of a report associated with your address, please contact us at the email below. We will do our best to respond promptly.
